3 Injured in Phelan Crash Near State Route 18 and Johnson Road
PHELAN, CA (September 17, 2022) – A car crash injured several people near State Route 18 and Johnson Road in Phelan.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:30 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the Phelan community. They crashed near the intersection of State Route 18, known as Palmdale Road, and Johnson Road.
The California Highway Patrol described the cars as a white 4-door vehicle and a 4-door sedan.
2 Cars Collide
The white car obtained major front-end damage upon impact. The other vehicle ended up with extensive damage on the passenger side.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of three people hurt. One patient sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision.
A helicopter flew the victim to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment. Ground ambulances rushed the other two patients with moderate injuries.
The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not released. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of State Route 18 and Johnson Road to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Phelan crash is still under investigation.
