Suspected DUI Driver At the Scene
PHELAN, SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY (April 5, 2016) – A 2-vehicle traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Sheep Creek and Duncan Roads Tuesday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 4:41 p.m.
Preliminary record stated that the wreck involved a dark blue Scion and a semi.
For reasons still under investigation, the Scion rear-ended the semi on the roadway, as mentioned in the CHP report.
The authorities narrated that there was a possible DUI driver at the site. But it was not clear whether the motorist was from behind the wheels of either the Scion or the semi.
The incident description by the CHP log team noted that an ambulance was en route the scene, suggesting presence of injuries. But the officers have not yet provided any final information on this matter.
Investigation remained underway.
