At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Barstow (15) Freeway Friday
Phelan, CA (June 25, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 15, also known as Barstow Freeway, Friday afternoon.
Our sources indicated a motorcycle rider collided with another motorist in the southbound side of I-15 Freeway at State Route 138. Per CHP log, the motorcycle ended up falling over the rider. Officials said the man self-extricated after the crash, and limped out of the roadway.

Emergency crews arrived at the site at approximately 1:20 p.m. Paramedics reportedly rendered aid to the victim. The dispatch mentioned an ambulance was later called to the scene due to the serious condition of the motorcyclist.
Meanwhile, the driver who collided with the rider apparently fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives continue to investigate at this time the precise circumstances that led to the hit-and-run crash in Phelan.
