PHELAN, California (September 17, 2015) — A woman pedestrian was killed Thursday morning when she was struck by several motorists on State Route Highway 138 at Dyer-Fulp Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported about 6:10 a.m. when a driver who struck the woman called 911. The driver told police the pedestrian had been standing on the yellow line when their car hit her and then two other motorists hit the woman. It appears the other drivers may have continued driving, but the report is not specific.
Police shut down the entire roadway to investigate and called for the coroner.
“My condolences go out to the victim’s family as they cope with this tragedy,” said Attorney James Johnson.
