Phillip Luckert, 68, Killed in Crash Near Rushing Hill Lookout and Green Springs Saturday
Keystone, CA (September 9, 2020) – A deadly traffic collision occurred on Highway 108/120 on September 5, Saturday, according to My Mother Lode News.
Our sources indicated 68-year-old Phillip Allen Luckert, of Modesto, was riding a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle heading east on the highway around noon. Per news article, Luckert stopped along the highway to help a broken down bike.
Big Rig Fatally Hits Motorcycle in Keystone, September 5
The horrible crash happened when Luckert reportedly Luckert after rendering assistance to the other motorcyclist. A passing 2012 Kenworth Big Rig struck Luckert from the rear.
Officials said the accident happened between Rushing Hill Lookout and Green Springs roads.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they performed CPR to Luckert. The elderly biker sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, authorities identified the truck operator as 63-year-old Erik Roen, of Knights Ferry. The driver appeared unharmed after the incident.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
