Orange County Car Accident Attorney Says Liability for Fatal Fullerton Crash is Under Investigation by Police
FULLERTON, California (March 31, 2014) — Phillip Stapleton, 19, of Buena Park was killed Saturday afternoon when he was struck by the driver of a pickup truck at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Valencia Drive, according to a press release by the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.
About 2:44 p.m., Fullerton Police Officers responded to the pedestrian accident, but the teenager died of his injuries at the scene of the crash, the report said.
According to Fullerton Police, the pedestrian was crossing against the traffic light at the time of the accident, however, a full investigation into who is liable for the accident is underway by police. The driver of the pickup truck was interviewed by police at the scene, but he was not injured.
“Police will conduct a full investigation into this pedestrian accident to determine who is liable for this man’s death,” said Orange County Car Accident Attorney James Johnson, a California personal injury attorney. “Witnesses are asked to come forward to help police in the investigation as they will assign fault to one of the parties involved.”
