Pickup Truck Underneath Big Rig on 5 Freeway Near Fort Tejon Road
LEBEC, California (Sept. 8, 2017) – At least one person suffered major injuries in a collision between a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a big rig truck on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Fort Tejon State Historic Park, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The white pickup truck crashed underneath the truck’s trailer and one person was trapped.
The crash took place about 7:18 a.m. this morning in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway. Paramedics responded with a helicopter to airlift the victim to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
The circumstances that led to the crash and liability is under investigation by police.
