Rivian Truck Crashes into Raffallo’s Pizza shop in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2023) – A three-vehicle collision in Hollywood happened on North La Brea Avenue and caused a pickup truck to crash into a pizza restaurant.
A 32-year-old man was injured in the collision in the 1600 block of North La Brea Avenue near Hollywood Boulevard, according to KTLA 5 News. However, authorities confirmed that no pedestrians were injured in the crash.
It happened just after 9:25 p.m. on Halloween night, Oct. 31st between the pickup and two sedans, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. A white Rivian pickup truck reportedly went off the roadway and crashed head-on into Raffallo’s Pizza shop, leaving the truck with major damage and a huge hole in the wall.
Firefighters responded to the scene and located the injured driver from the pickup after the collision. They transported him to a hospital, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, the LAFD’s Urban Search and Rescue team was at the scene to investigate the stability of the building.
Investigators with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety were also evaluating the building’s condition.
