1 Dead, Several Injured in 605 Freeway Crash
PICO RIVERA (August 13, 2017) – A traffic collision on the Interstate 605 Freeway killed a man and injured several people early Sunday morning, according to San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
The accident occurred about 2 a.m. on the southbound 605 Freeway, just north of Rose Hills Road.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said officials received a report of a vehicle became disabled in the carpool lane after possibly hitting the center divider.
Witnesses then claimed that another car struck the stopped vehicle. CHP responded to the scene and found four cars and two SUVs were involved in the crash.

One of the vehicles involved hit a man who was standing along the roadway at the time. He died at the scene.
It was not specified whether the fatally injured victim exited the disabled vehicle or was from any of the other cars involved.
A 21-year-old Seal Beach man driving a 1970 Datson 240Z was seriously injured while his passenger, a Long Beach woman, sustained moderate injuries. A man and woman riding a 1998 Toyota Camry were left with minor wounds.
ABC 7 News wrote that a total of six people were transported to the hospital, including four who were listed in critical condition.
Meanwhile, SGVT added that a couple in a 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, another pair in a 2015 Dodge Durango and a man driving a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro were unharmed. The report also indicated that a 2008 Nissan Versa was involved in the pileup.
The incident remains under investigation.
