Pilar Pizarro, 78, Killed in Camarillo Crash at Mission Oaks and Adolfo
CAMARILLO, CA (April 17, 2021) – Pilar Pizarro was killed after a crash at Mission Oaks Boulevard and Adolfo Road in Camarillo.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office said the 78-year-old Camarillo died following the wreck on Friday morning.
The incident happened on April 16 when Pilar Pizarro was riding as a passenger in a minivan that was going west on Mission Oaks Boulevard.
The van was approaching Adolfo Road at the same time a box truck was traveling south. For an unknown reason, the two vehicles then collided at the intersection.

The Ventura County Star and KVTA News wrote that the van ended up with visible damage to its front and passenger side on a sidewalk. The box truck came to a rest with heavy front-end damage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced Pilar Pizarro dead at the scene. Officers reported the accident at around 8:07 a.m.
The 85-year-old Camarillo man driving the van suffered serious injuries. The 27-year-old Oxnard man operating the truck sustained moderate injuries and his passenger survived with minor wounds.
Medical personnel soon rushed the drivers of both vehicles to local hospitals and listed them in stable condition. The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation.
