Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Pilot Hill Crash at Highway 49 and Rattlesnake Bar
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (July 15, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist at Highway 49 and Rattlesnake Bar Road in Pilot Hill.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:42 p.m.
A black Toyota Tacoma and the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided for an unknown reason in the Pilot Hill community of El Dorado County.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
CHP said the two crashed at the intersection of Highway 49 and Rattlesnake Bar Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the United States Postal Service.
Medical personnel found the motorcyclist who sustained moderate to major injuries as a result of the wreck. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of a possible broken arm.
The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released. Meanwhile, CHP forced Highway 49 at Rattlesnake Bar Road to shut down following the collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Pilot Hill crash.
