1 dead, 2 injured in Amador County car crash
PINE GROVE, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2024) — One person died in a multi-vehicle crash in Pine Grove Monday afternoon on Highway 88 and Toyon Road in Amador County.
The Amador Fire Protection District responded to the scene of the 12:21 p.m. crash on Dec. 9th, according to a post on Facebook.
There were three vehicles involved in the collision, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Firefighters extricated three people who were trapped in vehicles. Fire officials confirmed one person dead and two others were transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Also, a small dog riding in one of the vehicles was possibly hurt in the crash. Animal Control crews took custody of the dog.
Detectives are working on the case to determine fault for the Highway 88 crash in Pine Grove.
