The crash involved the drivers of a brown Dodge Dakota pickup truck and a white sedan in a construction zone. One of the drivers fled the scene of the crash, but called 911 and told police he was unable to pull over safely when the crash occurred.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and will determine liability. Tow trucks from Hesperia Towing and Desert Valley Tow responded to remove damaged vehicles.
