Woman Badly Hurt in Freak Road Accident on Interstate 80 Monday
Pinole, CA (June 1, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a car crash on Interstate 80 Monday after noon, the CBS San Francisco reported.
Authorities said an SUV traveling west on Interstate 80 somehow lost a tire. The tire apparently flew over the center divide and struck a vehicle on the eastbound side. According to the article published online, the freak accident took place near Appian Way in Pinole.
Officials added the tire propelled back and forth by collisions; and eventually damaged three more automobiles.

Responding medical personnel found the female driver of the third car with serious injuries. Because of her condition, an ambulance rushed the woman to Highland Hospital in Oakland.
Additional details on the incident have not been discussed thus far. Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the car crash in Pinole.
