3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 4 in Pittsburg, Calif.
PITTSBURG, Calif. (August 22, 2022) — A traffic accident in the Pittsburg area happened Monday morning on Highway 4 near the Loveridge Road off ramp.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes of state Route 4 about 8:39 a.m. on August 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials say the drivers of a silver Hyundai SUV, a big rig truck and a garbage truck collided due to unknown circumstances. The Hyundai suffered major rear-end damage in the collision and required a tow truck.
Paramedics responded due to minor injuries reported following the Pittsburg crash. There are no further details about those hurt in the collision.
Finally, tow trucks removed at least one of the vehicles and police are heading up an investigation into the accident.
