The collision took place around 7:20 p.m. near Piedmont Way.
As per the article, Pittsburg police reported that Bobby Boucher, 28, who had been riding a motorcycle was found unresponsive after being struck by a vehicle.
Despite resuscitative efforts, Boucher tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved attempted to flee on foot along with his male passenger. The hit-and-run motorist was identified as 25-year-old Angelo Childs, of Concord.
Childs and his passenger were later located as the 25-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and hit-and-run while his occupant was then released.
