Major Injury Collision on State Route 4
PITTSBURG, Calif. (June 8, 2023) — A major-injury Pittsburg crash in the westbound lanes of Highway 4 on Thursday morning just east of Loveridge Road.
The two or three vehicles were involved in the collision around 6:22 a.m. on June 8th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Pittsburg Rollover Crash on Highway 4
A small red or maroon car overturned onto its roof in a collision with a white Nissan Maxima sedan in the middle lanes of Highway 4, police said. Two people became trapped in the overturned vehicle after it landed in the No. 3 lane. One person’s hand was stuck under the vehicle, the report said.
Police issued a SigAlert due to at least three lanes being blocked by the vehicles and debris, but it was canceled about an hour later.
Paramedics responded and extricated the two people stuck in the car and located at least one person with major injuries. It’s unknown how many people were injured in the collision.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Highway 4 crash in Pittsburg.
