One Killed in Collision on State Route 4 in Pittsburg, California
PITTSBURG, Calif. (Dec. 2, 2024) — At least one died in a four-vehicle crash early Friday morning on eastbound Highway 4, just west of the Railroad Avenue off ramp in Pittsburg, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred around 5:10 a.m., on Nov. 29th, according to the CHP report.
The drivers of a white Hyundai sedan, a blue Toyota Camry, a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck, and a silver Toyota Camry were involved.
A 911 caller reported the white sedan and the blue Camry collided in the middle lanes. One of the vehicles was stopped when it was hit by the other vehicle. Then two other motorists collided with the first two vehicles.
Paramedics responded and confirmed the death of the adult male driver from the Hyundai.
Meanwhile, the two men driving the Toyota Camry sedans were treated for minor injuries and there were no injuries reported for the man driving the Dodge pickup truck.
Investigators determined the driver of the Hyundai was not wearing a seat belt.
