Pittsburg police officials were dispatched to the crash site at roughly 8:30 p.m. near Yosemite Drive.
Police officials were able to later identify the fatal victim as James Williams, 41, of Pittsburg.
Authorities were able to rule that the driver of the vehicle was not intoxicated or under the influence after being questioned following the collision.
Railroad Avenue remained shut down from Yosemite to Linscheid Drive, the article added.
Liability remains under investigation at this time.
