PLACENTIA, California (August 21, 2016) – A mother and her two young daughters were killed by a suspected DUI driver on West La Jolla Street Saturday night, according to The Orange County Register.
A statement released online by the coroner’s office named the woman as 34-year-old Patricia Santiago Ventura, who was identified by her family as Patricia Ledezma. Her children were identified as 8-year-old Stephanie Ledezma and 4-year-old Diana Ledezma.
As per the article, the mother and her children were found lying unresponsive on La Jolla Street after hit by a Dodge Charger at 10:23 p.m. All three Placentia residents died at the scene.
The driver involved, 27-year-old Nicholas Stephen Munoz, was believed to have been speeding and drunk driving at the time of the collision. He was unharmed following the crash,
Munoz, of Placentia, was then arrested on suspicion of murder and driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury.
