3 Hurt in Traffic Collision on Interstate 80 Freeway Monday
Placer County, CA (May 11, 2021) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a car crash on Interstate 80 Freeway Monday, the CBS Sacramento reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a female party was behind the wheel of a shuttle bus traveling on I-80. An officer reportedly attempted to pull over the woman in the area near Galleria Boulevard. However, the female motorist apparently drove away after she learned the bus would be towed.
Police then launched a pursuit. According to the article published online, the bus driver careened onto the shoulder of the freeway to pass traffic.
Our sources indicated the bus eventually collided with another vehicle on eastbound 80 Freeway. The crash took place before the bus exited at Penryn Road.
When medical personnel arrived, they found occupants in the other car with injuries. Authorities later confirmed three people suffered moderate injuries as a result of the collision.

Meanwhile, officers at the scene reportedly arrested the woman driving the bus.
Further investigation on the bus and car crash in Placer County is underway.
