Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Placer County Crash at Ponderosa Way and Foresthill Road
PLACER COUNTY, CA (June 6, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Ponderosa Way and Foresthill Road in Placer County.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Sunday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at around 12:49 p.m.
CHP said a gray Nissan SUV and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in Placer County. The two crashed at the intersection of Ponderosa Way and Foresthill Road.
Motorcycle and Car Collide Near Foresthill
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the area of Foresthill. They found the motorcyclist who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP closed the intersection of Ponderosa Way and Foresthill Road following the crash. The Nissan sustained a broken left rear axle due to the impact of collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Placer County crash.
