At Least 1 Badly Hurt After Car Crash on Highway 50 Wednesday
Placerville, CA (May 5, 2021) – A car accident that occurred on U.S. Route Highway 50 resulted in injuries, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
On Wednesday, two vehicles collided on Highway 50 at Camino Heights Drive. Authorities described the cars involved in the wreck as a blue pickup truck and a silver SUV.
Initial records indicated the blue pickup veered from the eastbound onto the westbound side of the highway. The blue pickup careen across all the lanes and eventually crash into a silver SUV. Per CHP log, the collision took place at Camino Heights Drive.
Major Injury Car Accident in Placerville, May 5
Shortly after 3:50 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. Paramedics checked the condition of all parties involved, and later confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries. The name of the victim, and their age remained unknown at this time.
Several factors surrounding the car accident in Placerville have not been discussed thus far. Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the incident.
