1 Killed in Placerville Crash at Middletown Road and Panning Way
PLACERVILLE, CA (October 1, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash at Middletown Road and Panning Way in Placerville.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 1:30 p.m.
CHP said a tan Toyota Corolla and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Placerville. The two crashed at the intersection of Middletown Road and Panning Way.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Placerville DMV. They confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt upon impact.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Middletown Road and Panning Way to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Placerville crash is still under investigation.
