Man Killed in Placerville Hit-and-Run Crash on Broadway Drive
PLACERVILLE, CA (April 24, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Broadway Drive in Placerville.
According to the FOX 40 News and CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the incident on April 23 at around 8:31 p.m.
Police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him in the 1800 block of Broadway Drive near Airport Road in Placerville.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the man left lying on the ground as a result of the collision. He sustained major injuries upon impact.
Medical personnel then rushed him to the hospital, where he died. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist initially stopped after hitting the victim. The driver soon sped away, last seen going east on Broadway Drive.
Officials described the car involved as a dark-colored sedan. Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The Placerville hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
