At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on El Dorado (50) Freeway Sunday
Placerville, CA (August 23, 2021) – On August 22, Sunday, a suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on U.S. Route 50 in Placerville.
The California Highway Patrol group reported at least two vehicles collided in the westbound side of US-50, also known as El Dorado Freeway. Our sources indicated the traffic accident took place near the Ponderosa Road offramp.
Shortly after 1:44 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Responding paramedics attended to all parties found at the scene. After the evaluation, officials confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The identity of the victim, and the extent of their trauma have not been discussed thus far.

Meanwhile, investigators later confirmed one driver fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the suspect.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash in Placerville.
