Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Placerville Crash on Highway 193 Near Chili Bar
PLACERVILLE, CA (September 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 193 in Placerville.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 6 p.m.
According to CHP, a silver sedan and the rider of a 2005 black KTM 950 Adventure motorcycle collided in Placerville. For an unknown reason, the two crashed on eastbound Highway 193.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, just west of Chili Bar Court. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 193 near Chili Bar to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Placerville crash.
