At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision on Highway 36 Thursday
Platina, CA (September 24, 2021) – A car accident that occurred on State Route Highway 36 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Primary reports indicated two vehicles collided head-on near Resident Wild Horse Ranch on September 23, Thursday. Officials described the automobiles involved in the wreck as a GMC Yukon, and a pickup truck. Due to the force from the impact, the GMC Yukon sustained a broken left and right front wheels.

Shortly after 8:48 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found a male party lying in the middle of the roadway. Paramedics said the victim suffered major injuries including deep lacerations to his legs. An ambulance later arrived and transported the patient to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate at this time the precise cause of the car accident in Platina.
