Elderly Woman Killed in Crash on West Jefferson Saturday
PLAYA VISTA, Ca (December 28, 2019) – A 60-year-old female passenger died in a traffic collision on West Jefferson Boulevard Saturday, the ABC7 News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed the elderly woman was riding a taxi cab traveling on West Jefferson around 8:22 a.m. At the same time, an ambulance responding to an emergency call with its lights and sirens activated was driving in the area.
For reasons still under investigation, the taxi and the ambulance collided in the 13200 block of West Jefferson Boulevard.

The crash resulted in fatal injuries to the female passenger in the cab. Per local news source, firefighter-paramedics gave the woman medical assistance but were unable to revive her. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the taxi driver, and two LAFD firefighters received treatment at a hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
