8 People Injured After Car Dives Into Creek on 680 Freeway
PLEASANTON (May 28, 2018) – Several people were injured in a solo-vehicle crash on the northbound Interstate 680 Freeway Monday morning, according to San Francisco Gate.
The accident happened around 6 a.m. in the area just before Interstate 580 Freeway.
As per the article, a 2017 Toyota Sienna drove approximately 150 feet down into a creek canal along the interstate, for reasons still under investigation. Responding emergency teams immediately rescued the parties inside the van, and pulled the vehicle out of the creek.

All eight occupants were reportedly taken to the hospital following the incident. Officials mentioned one of the victims was a 3-year-old child.
The names of the patients, and their conditions at this time have not been disclosed thus far.
Detectives handling the case continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led to the crash. According to an article by the Mercury News, officers are apparently investigating whether the crash may have been a hit-and-run involving another vehicle.
