Major Injury Collision Near Schaefer Ranch Road
Pleasanton, CA (April 29, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 580 Freeway.
Auto vs. Bicycle Crash on Interstate 580 in Pleasanton
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a man riding a bicycle collided with a vehicle in the eastbound side of I-580. The crash took place in the area near Schaefer Ranch Road.
CHP logged the incident Friday shortly after 8 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found a red Toyota sedan disabled in the roadway. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the occupants in the car, and the bicyclist. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major trauma as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate exactly how ad why the traffic crash happened on Interstate 580 in Pleasanton.
