Major Injury Collision Near Dougherty Road
Pleasanton, CA (April 24, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 580, also known as Arthur Breed Freeway.
Our sources indicated two or more vehicles collided in the eastbound side of I-580 on April 22. First responders found at the scene a black Volkswagen sedan, and a white van both with significant damage due to the force from the impact.
At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Pleasanton Car Accident on Interstate 580
Shortly after 9:06 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. Paramedics said they checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered major trauma as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim, and their condition at this time remained unknown.
The CHP dispatch mentioned a pedestrian was possibly involved in the collision. At this time, several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear.
Detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the crash happened on Interstate 580 in Pleasanton.
