Major Injury Collision on I-580 in Pleasanton
PLEASANTON, Calif. (March 18, 2025) — A major injury crash in Pleasanton happened Tuesday afternoon on the westbound Interstate 580 Freeway, just west of San Ramon Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the slow lanes of the I-580 around 12:45 p.m. on March 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a juvenile was ejected from a green Nissan Sentra SUV when it overturned in a collision with a semi-truck. The young person was found underneath the vehicle on its side.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured person to Eden hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, a large piece of metal was blocking the fast lane and a tow truck removed the overturned Nissan from the freeway.
Authorities issued a SigAlert due to the crash and investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the 580 Freeway in Pleasanton.
