Solo-Vehicle Crash on I-580 Freeway in Pleasanton
PLEASANTON, Calif. (March 31, 2020) — At least one person is dead Tuesday morning after a single-car crash on the eastbound I-580, just west of Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert due to severe traffic alert due to the 10:05 a.m. collision.
The Ford Explorer SUV overturned onto its roof and was up against the center divider, the CHP said. The HOV and Nos 1 and 2 lanes were temporarily closed down due to the investigation.
Witnesses told authorities that the driver was weaving in and out of traffic prior to the collision. It’s unknown at this time how many people were in the vehicle.
No other information was immediately available.
