Motorcyclist Injured in 3-Vehicle Collision

PLEASANTON, Calif. (July 19, 2023) — A motorcycle rider was injured in a hit-and-run crash on the Interstate 580 Freeway, west of the San Ramon Road off ramp in Pleasanton.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 5:44 p.m. on July 18th in the eastbound No. 1 lane of the 580 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of a black Mercedes SUV and a black and silver Harley Davidson motorcycle were among three vehicles involved. The two vehicles pulled over to the center divider, however, a third motorist failed to stop after the crash.

The rider injured their foot in the collision and an ambulance was called to the scene.

One tow truck responded to remove the damaged motorcycle.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Pleasanton crash.
