Driver Hits Pedestrian at Pleasanton Intersection

PLEASANTON, Calif. (Oct. 12, 2023) — A school crossing guard was injured in a pedestrian accident Thursday morning in Pleasanton at Vineyard Avenue and Adams Way.

A driver struck the crossing guard as he was helping a child cross the road around 8:35 a.m. on Oct. 12th, according to KRON 4 News. The intersection is near Valley View Elementary School.

Paramedics responded to help the injured man who suffered head injuries in the traffic accident. He was transported to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

Investigators closed down roads in the area to conduct an investigation that is expected to last a few hours.
