Pedestrian Killed in Point Loma Accident on Rosecrans Street Near Harbor Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 11, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after an accident on Rosecrans Street in the Point Loma neighborhood in San Diego.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night. Officers reported the crash at about 8:45 p.m.
Police said a vehicle struck the person for an unknown reason in Point Loma. The driver hit the pedestrian on Rosecrans Street between North Harbor Drive and Garrison Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and then found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They soon pronounced the person dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Police also did not mention if the motorist immediately stopped after hitting the victim.
The area where it happened is south of Liberty Station, west of the airport and northwest of Shelter Island, or Roseville-Fleet Ridge neighborhood.
Meanwhile, officials forced Rosecrans Street to shut down for a time following the crash. The fatal Point Loma pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
