Woman, 52, Killed in Point Loma Hit-and-Run on Rosecrans Street
SAN DIEGO (November 18, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident in the area of Rosecrans and Newell streets early Sunday, according to San Diego Union Tribune and NBC San Diego.
The collision was reported at approximately 12:15 a.m. in the Point Loma area.
As per the reports, police received a call about a 52-year-old woman who was standing in the southbound lanes in the 1700 block of Rosecrans Street.

Officers responded and found that the victim had been struck by a vehicle at or near the intersection of Rosecrans and Newell street.
The car was traveling south when the crash occurred. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled.
