
Teen Cyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision at Catalina and Narragansett
Point Loma Heights, CA (March 8, 2023) – A 17-year-old suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred in the area of Catalina Boulevard and Narragansett Avenue.
According to FOX5 News, the teenager was riding an electric bike heading south on Catalina. Earlier reports indicated the bicyclist initially yielded for traffic, then eventually made a turn onto eastbound Narragansett. While in the intersection, a Jeep Grand Cherokee also entered the crossing and hit the teenager.
Major Bicycle Accident in Point Loma Heights
The article published online confirmed the bicyclist sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Officials said the crash took place on March 3, Friday, around 6:26 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Jeep driver apparently fled the scene after the incident. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to gather information to determine several unclear factors surrounding the accident that happened at Catalina Boulevard and Narragansett Avenue in Point Loma Heights.
