Officer Hospitalized After Collision at Mendocino Avenue and Carrillo Street
Santa Rosa, CA (February 3, 2023) – A Santa Rosa Police Department officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Mendocino Avenue and Carrillo Street.
On February 2, Thursday, a Honda Civic broadsided a marked a patrol vehicle at the intersection in Santa Rosa. The KTVU News reported the deputy was maintaining security at a homicide scene near the crossing when the crash happened around 4 a.m.
Injury Car Accident in Santa Rosa
According to the article published online, the collision resulted in injuries to the officer. Rescue teams transported the injured deputy to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The driver of the Honda appeared unharmed after the incident.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic crash that happened at Mendocino Avenue and Carrillo Street in Santa Rosa.
