Hit-and-run pursued by police crashes in 2 drivers inArcadia
ARCADIA, Calif. (Nov. 6, 2018) — At least two people were injured Monday night in a police pursuit crash at Baldwin Avenue and Huntington Drive in Arcadia.
A white vehicle was being pursued by police when its driver drove through a red traffic light and T-boned another white sedan, causing that vehicle to overturn and collide with a dark vehicle. The collision took place about 9:40 p.m. at the intersection near the Santa Anita Mall.
The suspect is believed to have been fleeing the scene of an earlier collision in Pasadena at Colorado Boulevard and Bonnie Avenue, according to Sgt. Crees of the Pasadena Police Department. Police also suspect the driver was under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.
Paramedics responded and transported those who were hurt including the pursuit driver who was placed in handcuffs by first responders.
A woman who was in the white overturned sedan was also taken to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Police are heading up an investigation into the cause of this crash and will examine the evidence at the scene, take measurements and speak to those involved as well as witnesses. Anyone who was hurt in this collision will be able to pursue a personal injury claim to recover their financial losses.
