2 Infants, 5 Adults Hurt in Crash on Highway 101
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (May 1, 2018) — Seven people were injured Tuesday morning after a police pursuit of a car jacking suspect ended in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 101 at Nojoqui Grad, according to news reports.
The crash took place about 7:13 a.m. this morning. Two infants and five others were injured in the crash involving five motorists including a CHP patrol car, a semi-truck and three other vehicles. Police began chasing the suspect and a pssenger in the vehicle in Santa Maria.
Six people were treated for minor injuries and one person had moderate injuries. Paramedics rushed them to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by ground ambulances.

It appears at this time that there could be multiple drivers responsible for this collision including the suspects in the stolen vehicle. Police are reviewing the evidence and interviews with those involved and witnesses to piece together what happened.
