Pollock Pines crash Highway 50
2 Injured in Pollock Pines Crash on Highway 50 Near Ridgeway Drive
POLLOCK PINES, CA (February 8, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 50 near Ridgeway Drive in Pollock Pines.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 4:16 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Pollock Pines. They crashed on westbound Highway 50, just west of Ridgeway Drive.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as an orange Jeep and a white Nissan pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two people hurt.
At least one of them sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took both patients to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 50 to shut down near Ridgeway following the wreck.
The cause of the Pollock Pines crash is still under investigation.
