Motorcyclist Injured in Pollock Pines Crash on Pony Express Trail Near Parking Lot
POLLOCK PINES, CA (September 24, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash near a parking lot on Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 6:24 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Pollock Pines. The two crashed at 6498 Pony Express Trail.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Safeway store parking lot. They found the motorcyclist who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Marshall Hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver stopped or stayed at the site following the wreck. Officers soon forced a stretch of Pony Express Trail near the parking to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the Pollock Pines crash is still under investigation.
