The accident was reported around 2:15 a.m. on the eastbound 60 Freeway, just east of Garey Avenue.
As per onscenevideo.tv, California Highway Patrol said a sedan appeared to have been disabled in a lane of traffic when a semi-truck crashed into it.
Two occupants were found trapped and unresponsive inside the car following the incident. Both were extricated using the Jaws of Life and were airlifted to USC Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
Their names and condition at this time were not immediately released.
Meanwhile, CHP added that at least two other vehicles were involved. Authorities are still investigating the collision.
