1 Injured in Pomona Crash on 10 Freeway Near 71 Freeway
POMONA, CA (April 16, 2023) – One was hospitalized after a DUI crash on the 10 Freeway near the 71 Freeway in Pomona.
According to an article published by My News LA, the accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck on April 16 at around 2:27 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said about three or four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Pomona. The cars crashed on the eastbound 10 Freeway, just west of the 71 Freeway.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They found at least one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP determined that a driver involved was under the influence when the incident happened. They soon arrested the motorist on suspicion of DUI.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Pomona crash is still under investigation.
