POMONA, California (October 15, 2016) – According to an article by Daily Bulletin, four people were killed and several others were injured as a result of hit-and-run crash on Interstate 60 freeway at Reservoir Street off ramp Saturday morning.
A Ford Explorer with eight occupants flipped on the eastbound lanes of the freeway at approximately 5:06 a.m.
A white vehicle struck the left side of the Ford and caused the SUV to overturn. Six of the occupants in the Ford were thrown from the vehicle.
Firefighters and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the site following the accident. Upon arrival at the scene, the authorities rescued three parties and rushed all of them to an area hospital. The involved white vehicle was not found at the site.
Later, officers pronounced the wreck caused the death of four people.
An article by KTLA identified the victims as Elba Rosales, aged 26; Luis Herrera, aged 29; Noemi Herrera, aged 21; and Gerardo Herrera, aged 49.
Additionally, the morning crash left three others in critical condition.
Investigators continue to investigate the hit-and-run collision.
