Electric Bike Rider Killed in Pomona Crash at Val Vista and Paige
POMONA, CA (August 21, 2022) – A crash killed an electric bike rider at Val Vista Street and Paige Drive in Pomona.
According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 5:15 p.m.
The incident happened when a 50-year-old man was riding an electric mountain bike in the city of Pomona. For an unknown reason, a pickup truck hit him.

Police said the car struck the rider at the intersection of Val Vista Street and Paige Drive. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene, just west of White Avenue and north of the 10 Freeway.
They found the victim who sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital, where he soon died.
The name of the deceased man has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the driver of the pickup stopped or stayed at the site following the wreck.
Officers forced the area of Val Vista and Paige to shut down after the collision. The cause of the fatal Pomona electric bike crash is still under investigation.
