Pedestrian Killed in Crash at Pomona Intersection
POMONA, Calif. (March 21, 2025) – A woman was struck and killed in a Pomona car accident Thursday night at Towne Avenue and Towne Park Circle.
The Pomona Police Department responded to the crash around 10:04 p.m. on March 21st, just north of Foothill Boulevard, according to MyNewsLA.
The pedestrian was found down in the roadway with severe injuries and arriving emergency responders performed CPR on the woman.
However, despite their efforts, the unidentified woman died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver who struck the woman stopped and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Tragically, there were sixty-six pedestrian accidents involving injuries and fatalities in Pomona in 2022, according to the Office of Traffic Safety. Four of those hurt were under 15 years old and eight were over 65 years old.
The cause of the Pomona collision is under investigation to determine fault. Authorities have not identified the woman or provided any further details at this time.
The department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the case.
