1 Killed, 9 Injured in Porter Ranch Crash on Reseda Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 22, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured several others on Reseda Boulevard in Porter Ranch.
According to the NBC Los Angeles and ABC 7 News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 5:52 p.m.
The incident began when a black Honda CRV was going south on Reseda Boulevard in the Porter Ranch neighborhood of Los Angeles. For an unknown reason, the driver of the car crossed the center line.
The Honda with three passengers then slammed into two other vehicles at 11001 Reseda Boulevard. Police described the other cars as a Toyota Venza with an adult and two children, and a Volkswagen sedan with a 30-year-old woman.
Multiple Cars Collide
Police said a 17-year-old boy riding the CRV died due to the impact of the collision. Nine other people ended up hurt as a result of the accident.
Paramedics rushed all nine patients to regional trauma centers for treatment. Six of them were listed in critical condition and three others in fair condition.
The names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released. Meanwhile, the cause of the fatal Porter Ranch crash is still under investigation.
Police forced Reseda Boulevard to shut down in both directions between San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Chatsworth Street following the wreck.
